I like Captcha - I just switched all my forms over to it. Shoot, this blog has been up a few weeks and we're already getting comment spam.

While I honestly don't ever expect to see a mad dash to my site, there is that thing called wishful thinking and I'd rather be prepared than not. Thanks for the information. The ModSecurity code has been saved to a text file named "In Case of a Digg Emergency." :)

Just out of curiosity, what is this mod_mime thing they speak of?

BTW, we've been using reCAPTCHA for comment spam and its working well. http://recaptcha.net/

Simple Trackback Validation is another plugin we use. The two combined do a nice job of filtering out Wordpress comment and pingback spam.

Hey thanks for putting that out there. I've got Skippy's List using the WP Cache plugin, but hadn't seen Super Cache. Will do that now! Noting mod security too. He had a bit of a spike last week from Stumble. Since Digg, we're keeping an eye on things.
