Formed in July of 1997, DrakNet (a privately owned, female owned, and completely debt free company) has excelled the web hosting market with a dedication to providing premium shared hosting solutions for small businesses, bloggers, and developers.

We have selected the Liquid Web Data Center with premium Tier-1 bandwidth providers, ensuring minimal latency and fast connections to all points of the global internet. We are proud to feature direct connectivity with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Savvis and Level3. Our aggregate connectivity reaches an astounding 8,500+ networks just a single network away from our uplinks.

Our state of the art network includes multiple peering points to ensure a consistently fast, reliable connection with direct connectivity through AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Savvis and Level3 and our aggregate connectivity reaches an astounding 8,500+ networks just a single network away from our up-links. Our redundancy is multi-tiered with N+1 internal device elements as well as entirely redundant chassis allowing any routing device to fail without interrupting client data connectivity and we are protected by one or more uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Our chosen Data Center features redundant battery cabinets and full maintenance bypass cabinets allowing for service and upgrades without interruption of power to our servers. All core routing and switching equipment is state of the art Cisco.

All of DrakNet's servers are designed to maximize performance with wide allowances for fluctuations in activity and traffic as insurance against service spikes. Each shared server’s specs include multiple processors with multiple cores, 8 to 32 Gigabytes of RAM, Raid Arrays, and all of the latest security patches and software to ensure optimum performance for all sites at all times. We never overload our boxes and proactively monitor all machines to ensure that there are enough resources for all those who wish to utilize them, as well as take a strict and proactive stance on "server hogs" before they can do serious performance damage.

We are heavily focused on security for our servers, and your site. In addition to upgrading and patching the servers regularly, we stay constantly informed of the latest threats to web site security and take proactive steps to ensure server and network defenses can meet those threats while attempting to minimize inconvenience and disruption for our clients.

Customer Support

Customer support is a key element in the satisfaction of our clients and we continue to go well beyond the expected when it comes to meeting those needs.

We have a knowledgeable and well trained staff standing by 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ensuring that they are easily accessible when needed on the helpdesk, on live chat, or by telephone. Our average response time for ticket support is within 2 hours at any time of the day or night.

All of our staff are native English speakers with extensive web hosting backgrounds. You will never be routed to offshore companies for any aspect of your support.

DrakNet strives to examine its actions as a business as a part of a greater whole, understanding our impact as a company with regard to the decisions we make for our employees, our clients, and our business itself in a wider, more socially responsible context.

In furtherance of this progressive mission, DrakNet purchases solar energy through the Bonneville Environmental Foundation equal to the amount of energy utilized by our servers, and our headquarters is powered directly by solar energy purchased through Pedernales Electric Cooperative. We also make loans through Kiva, world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, allowing our company to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world, as well as participate as a team in the World Community Grid.
